Hi, my name is Erin Christensen. I'm a project manager, artist, and ocean conservationist.
About me
My fascination with the ocean started early—an unusual passion for a kid who grew up on prairies of Canada. Though I first channeled my creativity as a jewellery artist, I’ve come full circle with a desire to contribute meaningful change through developing a career in ocean conservation.
With eight years of experience managing projects across both creative and conservation sectors, I’ve found my stride in leading teams, streamlining processes, problem-solving, and driving impact.
I’m a curious, growth-minded professional who thrives in dynamic environments that evolve rapidly and loves turning big ideas into actionable plans.
Project management Professional
I revel in meaningful projects that require meticulous problem-solving and creativity. I have a proven track record of delivering impactful results aligned with strategic plans, building strong partnerships, and fostering engaging and supportive workplace environments. I am currently working towards the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification to enhance my skills and knowledge and contribute to global sustainability goals.

JEWELLERY Artist
I began my career as an art jeweller and silversmith after receiving a BFA in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing from NSCAD University. Following my graduation, I was awarded a finalist position for the Niche Awards in the Student Teapot category and featured in several publications, including British Vogue Magazine and the Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook. My work has since been exhibited in North American and European galleries.

Ocean Conservationist
I have long been passionate about coral reef conservation, and my dream is to transition my career into this field. To expand my knowledge of coral reef restoration, I completed an internship with Blue Corner Marine Conservation and multiple research projects on this topic as part of my BA in Environmental Practice from Royal Roads University. I recently volunteered as a research assistant with The University of Queensland’s Marine Spatial Ecology Lab and attended the Reef Futures 2024 conference in Mexico.
